My computer accomplisment *grin*

I haven't blogged for sometime, altho I really want to keep this updated since I LOOOVE looking back to the past & keeping all my memories. My only comfort is there haven't been any wonderful memories to keep in the last ....hmmm... 3 years may be ?? " I am sorry for being whiney , Lord, but this is not the easiest month for me, I am having all the december 2004 memories still fresh in my mind, I avoid thinking about it at all costs, writing about it is another different story !!!

anyway, yesterday was the first day of snow in here!!! Gosh how i hate that !!! of course I enjoy watching it snow , while I am covered with 3 blankets, drinking Cocoa, but it is no fun at all waking at 5 am trying to clean 2 inch of snow off my dear OLD car. The heating system didnt operate much either. After 5 minutes of trying to move one tiny piece of snow of my windshield with no success, I gave up. I dont care what they say at work. I never call in, so I thought I might do it this once. the funny thing is , Saf. called me later during the day and told me she called me at work to check on me, and guess who answered ? it was our dear Mary Poppins !! when saf asked to speak to me, the ever-cheerful mary poppins ranted at her : She is not here today !!! I wonder if she hung up on my friend too !! She is one of a kind , that is all I can say !


anyway, I woke up, mom had an eye apointment ( does that spell with 2 p's?) at the free clinic. So I went down at 3 PM, cleaned my car off snow!! a process that took 15 minutes for only one day of snow, and sunshine was back already!! I wonder how things would be if we had a week of snow or so? I think I will get fired!! when I was growing up we never had snow! i actually never saw snow till I moved here 3 years ago! so I will never adapt to it. I was even foolish enough to go clean snow off my car with no gloves on!! I dont even own leather gloves !! I have about 4 scarfs that I keep tucked in my drawers & never wear them !! oh well!! may be one day I will move either to California or back home ( the only 2 weather-appealing places for me )

we went to the appointment, got lost for 10 minutes. 1000% my fault , the exit sign on the highway said take RIGHT to get to Bouliv. street , and me -being me- took the LEFT signal. anyway, we got there, Sy was there. we chatted of course. The Dr saw mom. she was very sad about her condition ( mom got the branch vien occlusion in her seeing good left eye *sigh*) .
one thing that stiked me, was when I was chatting with the nurse and she asked me if any of mom's children suffer from amblyopia too since it is heriditary & I said I do !! it always escapes my mind that my anisometropia is inherited from my mom ( I even have the same left good eye as her! ) the thing is, my left eye is starting to get tired to quickly lateley, I think I should be a good girl & either start wearing the pair of glasses I already have or get new ones *sigh*
The dr decided to refer mom to a retina specialist. we'll see how things will go from there ....

we came back... and here we come to my PC ACHIEVEMENT of a life time
few weeks ago I was given a combo scanner/copier/printer thing by susan ( along with many junky items that I thru away, but I shouldn't be complaining) . But it was missing the CD for software installment. I tried so many things but nothing actually worked. I told a colleague at work and he told me to install the software online. Now that may seems somthing very predictable for anyone else, but not for me. My PC knowledge is knowing how to press the blue button to start my laptop, and where to place the mouse & then how to shut down ;))
ok ok, I am exaggarting a bit , especially when I see PPL like S. who had studied so many PC courses & yet I have to show her how to do thing sometimes... I guess I am better than *FEW*
back to my story, I went to the "hp" site, downloaded the software " 364 MEGA bytes!!" and did the whole thing ... it took almost 2 hours ... dont know why... I think I have a lot of junk that slows my PC. I wish my brother was here, he would have fixed it for me :(
