... to be my friend
you are so different from me
you focus mostly on yourself
you do things at your convenience
you are a fierce enemy
you blurt out statements without making apologies
your remarks can sometimes throw me off my feet
I wouldn't have chosen you
... but God did
you can teach me patience
you can teach me unconditional love
you can show me a glimpse of my old self
you can help me realize that I am still work in progress
you can help me see that I am a product of those who loved me
even if they didn't choose me
